Today's episode of the Ryan Rissulu show on the Ringer podcast network is brought to you by State Farm just like basketball. The game of life is unpredictable. Talk to a State Farm agent and get a teammate who can help you navigate the unexpected. Maybe the unexpected is Golden State being up huge on Denver. Yes, I know no one has ever won the second game of the game.

0:29.0

The second game of a back to back in NBA history.

0:34.0

Except I think Denver was the first team to ever do it in NBA history when they came back in one and over time against Golden State.

0:41.0

So they didn't have Jamal Murray, but at one point I think we can all sit there and say, hey, this is a little unexpected or unpredictable.

So get a teammate who can help you navigate the unexpected talk to a State Farm agent today.

I did give a little bit of a shout out to Drainmon Green and man do people hate Drainmon Green.

1:00.0

I think a guy who would have had the team success and I always thought whenever people would say, well, Drainmon is a top 10 player, I always thought that was crazy.

1:08.0

But I like him and you know, he's unique to them. But if you paid him max money and said we're going to run our offense or Drainmon Green, you would probably be a disappointed fan base.

1:17.0

But he's a really special unique player that does a lot of things that other people don't do.

1:22.0

And when I was watching him and I've been watching them a little bit more just because Golden State's kind of on and some of these windows.

1:27.0

And you know, I'm not sitting there super locked into it because I try to use my time the best I can when it comes to watching games.

1:36.0

But I said, you know, what I like about Drainmon is he's out there. He's competing, he's yelling, he's fighting, he's trying to, you know, he's still very engaged emotionally.

1:45.0

And I don't know that that many players with his kind of resume and meaning team resume the kind of success that they've had going into this kind of lost year where you'd expect golden state to be less emotionally into this and you don't most understand it human nature wise where you go.

2:01.0

Yeah, you know, look, we're just not really locked in.

2:06.0

I would expect that more out of a player with with a lot of accomplishments, but what you can't ever deny is that when a guy's a competitor and he's a competitor and it doesn't matter.

2:15.0

He's going to be out there fighting. So I gave that, you know, compliment to Drainmon. It was like, no, we're not, no, people were like, nah, no, thank you.

2:23.0

Do not want to compliment him. What's the way we're like, okay, okay, not a Drainmon green room.

2:30.0

Here is the plan for today. We're going to have Koc Kevin O'Connor talking some hoops with us, but I have two things that I want to do.

2:39.0

I think I do want to get to the air in Hernandez doc on Netflix. I have not finished it. I have wide ranging thoughts on what I've seen so far.

2:48.0

And in today's world, and I've brought this up before I did it with the miles Garrett Mason Rudolph altercation helmet altercation where it was like we just the person that's to be to be blamed is staring right at us going, no, you're the one that did the wrong thing.

3:06.0

And for whatever reason now we are in a rush to try to figure out all these different reasons why we can blame somebody else in there or something else, right, not just another person, but circumstances.

3:16.0

And sometimes it is accurate. Now the times it isn't. And I think that's part of the storyline in the Hernandez doc, but not the only one, but I do want to get to that a little bit later.
