Yo, paratrovens and retrogrades.

Today I'm going to be covering a story that broke about five days ago,

and I didn't want to rush to cover it.

I wanted to let the dust settle, and it has settled.

It's the fact that Tridicionitius Costodes has wide cracks in it.

This is, of course, the 2021 Pope Francis document that suppressed the Latin Mass and did so

by suppressing Pope Benedict's 2007 documents,

more in Pontificum, it turns out the crack in this document is the rationale that Francis offered for it.

He said, hey, all the bishops of the world basically wanted me to do this,

and all the bishops of the world in some survey, which we're going to talk about this idea of a pope surveying the other bishops of the world, very Catholic, collegial relationship between bishops that we have.

He misrepresented what they were doing. And I called this at the time.

I said, I'll bet you this is a misrepresentation.

What's going on doesn't mean that the document is invalid.

The traditionus custodos is invalid.

But I guess people didn't believe me at the time when I said,

there's no way all the bishops of the world actually said they need the TLM to go away.

And that turned out to be vindicated by none other than friend of this show, Diane Montagna.

And that's what happens.

So I'm going to read to you from the first part of her substack, and I want to react to it.

As somebody that said, Traditzionis custodus is evil, but it's legal.

You know, Pope Francis just did an evil legal thing. We hate it. We're left to hate it.

It's still evil and legal, but what are the implications? What will the fallout be?
