You haven't started composting this year, and you know you should, but for some reason

you just haven't gotten to it.

Well today's episode might push you over that hump and persuades you to get some kind

of pile going.

We have Tony O'Neill back on the show, Founder of Simplify Gardening, which is a blog

on YouTube channel, and his book is coming out, it's called Composting Masterclass.

So Tony, I think everyone, it's kind of these things that like everyone knows they should

do, and some people just don't do for some reason.

So maybe if we highlighted some of the major and maybe some unconventional benefits of

getting composting going in your garden, that might push a few people over the hump.

Yeah, I think when you're composting, everybody has different ideas of compost on what they

want to use it for, depending on how you're growing in the garden, like for you and I,

that tend to grow a lot of vegetables because we want to grow and become more self-sufficient,

then you know, you're using plants that are very hungry.

If you're in a garden and you're just growing flowers or on a mental plant, well,

you know, you might only need a sort of mulching of compost a couple of times a year.

So it's really different in depending on what you're looking for out of your garden.

But some of the benefits, well, you've only got to look at what's been happening in the

world over the last couple of years. Last year, you couldn't buy a bag of compost for 11 or

many, you know, it was unable, you were unable to just go to a shop and buy it, and this then

become an issue for people, especially with our garden because they were all worrying, well,

how am I supposed to sow my seeds, where am I getting my, you know, my starter mix from or,
