The U.S. military says its blockade of Iranian ports is in full force, and that ships trying to

leave the country, including eight oil tankers,

have turned back after being instructed to do so by U.S. forces. At the same time, U.S. officials

say more than 20 commercial ships that didn't visit Iran's ports have passed through the

Strait of Hormuz in the last day. While the U.S. says it began clearing mines in the

straight on Saturday, the threat of mines and

Iranian attacks is deterring most vessels from attempting to pass through. Maine has become the first

state-to-band data center construction. The Democratic-controlled state legislature approved a bill

freezing construction of new data centers until late 2027, allowing Maine to assess environmental

and grid risks. At least 10 other states are considering similar moves over concerns that

rising power demand will result in a spike in electricity prices and damage the environment.

Meanwhile, the NAACP has sued Elon Musk's XAI, alleging gas turbines at its Tennessee and

Mississippi data centers are operating without legal air permits. The lawsuit claims these

unauthorized emissions violate the Clean Air Act and pose serious health risk to local residents.

According to the filing, the resulting pollution is linked to increased rates of asthma, heart

problems, and cancer. XAI didn't respond to a request for comment. Asian stocks ended the day
