Today, I'm joined from America land by Matt to Rumpers. I was done with my Karla Science Strategy calculations.

And there is a Karla Science Strategy question and some tyre questions. I do get insulted, Matt.

People say here's a tyre question probably for Matt when I am on the most interested tyre person on the whole panel.

Well, you know so much about them. I mean, it has become a feature of your reporting on Formula One to be an expert on the tyres.

So we were podcasting when Perelli first came into Formula One. Can you remember the year?

Oh, it was in 2012.

Was it 2012?

I think we're going to go for 2012 although our next panelist may well know.

But I remember us talking about the change and you quickly realized, I think before any of us, the tyre strategy was going to become key.

And you were really pushing very early on to talk about the tyres and I was like, oh, no, man, we're going to talk about tyres again.

But before that, tyres were not a dominant factor in how you would discuss the race.
