| 0:20.6 | Welcome back. This is the Big Blue Banter. New York Giants Football Podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. Join, Zoh, is always my co-ist, Nick Vallado. Tonight we're here for Mailbag, part two. We did part one last night. We didn't get to nearly all the questions, so we have a lot more coming in. And so we're going to answer them all today. Our first question on part two comes from extend Julian Love, and he asks, or she, looks like a he, had Aziz O'Jolari not missed any time, what do you think his stat line would realistically look like and would his presence have led to a few more wins? I don't know if his presence, Dan, would have led to a few |
| 0:55.1 | wins because Aziz Ojo Lari has played in quite a few losses. Obviously, that's not corollary with |
| 1:00.4 | Aziz Ojo Lari's play because he's had a pretty profound impact on the defense, but he played |
| 1:05.6 | against Dallas in week three, Chicago in week four, which was a win. And then he returned in what, the commander's |
| 1:13.1 | game. That was a tie. And then now he's played in the Eagles game. And I don't believe he played |
| 1:17.4 | in any other games to this season. So I don't know what would have resulted in any wins. But in |
| 1:21.7 | terms of the stat line, that's where it really gets interesting. Because right now, Zuzo Jolari has |
| 1:25.4 | four sacks, 13 pressures. I'm imagining |
| 1:28.9 | he has just as many, if not maybe more pressures than Kvon Tibito, which I believe Tibito, |
| 1:34.7 | I don't have the stats in front of me, is that 38 pressures right now with a decent amount |
| 1:39.6 | of more sacks. We're talking like eight sacks. I think it would be somewhere around there. |
| 1:43.1 | I think Aziz Ojolari, the way he has looked as a pass rusher, it's improved from last season. We've said that several times on the podcast, but I do, however, still feel like the liability and run defense is still kind of there. And I think opposing offenses note too, and they're running at him. And that's something that keeps popping up on film. So despite the fact that he added 10 pounds, he looks bendier. His hand usage is much more prompt and I would say he has more pass rushing moves than he did in his rookie season. I still think he needs to develop his ability to set the edge and be a consistent run defender. Yeah, I would agree with Nick. I think he's right on the mark with the stat line. |
| 2:18.6 | I think it could even be double digit sacks. I think most of what you've seen improvement-wise from Mojilari is as a pass rusher. Nick talked about the hand usage. That's taking a massive jump. The bendiness is interesting. But as a run defender, it's almost like either is the same or went backwards. It's the last game the Eagles really picked on him. |
| 2:15.6 | Washington showed it a couple times on tape, |
