Today, as we finish our NFL season preview, we are going to do a mailbag episode.

You guys sent in a bunch of great questions. I feel like my brain

is basically empty when it comes to new stuff to talk about. And you guys thankfully came through,

had some great questions, sort of, you know, made me consider things differently a bit.

And wanted to sort of, you know, touch base and see what sort of, you know, made me consider things differently a bit and wanted to sort of, you know,

interesting questions. Want to make sure we get to all of them. So I will just go ahead and get

started. And it begins with a question from Max Maliska. Sorry if I'm mispronouncing your name.

Max, hopefully I got it correct. But this question, realistically, would any general manager in the

league rather have Jordan Love over Justin Fields? This narrative of love being ranked above

fields on lists when he's had less than 100 dropbacks in four years is mind boggling to me.

Fair point from Max, and I wanted to answer this question to get into sort of the idea of our overconfidence about how we see people and teams heading into the season. I saw this a bunch

with Stephen Ruiz's list at The Ringer, where Stephen does great work, really works, you know,

watches a ton of tape, looks at the numbers. I don't always agree with Stephen. Stephen has a very

smart and insightful opinion that comes from Stevens really well thought out and really, you know,

wide-ranging opinion. And the one that was really bothering people there was Matthew Stafford

over Jalen Hertz. So Matthew Stafford, I think he was 16th on Stevens list by the end of the

season last year. He was now nine. Jalen Hertz was 10.

That first off, that's sort of, you know, there's a level of misconstruing happening there.

Stafford was higher, of course, before he got injured. He is now healthy. That's going to help.
