piled up here since we've really locked in on the happening. We've still got to get to some more

of your mailbag questions at the end. But where do you want to start, John, in terms of

discussing some of recent events? I think we need to start with the Fieba World Cup and USA basketball.

A disappointing fourth place finish to be short.

So this is my, I won't say 10,000 foot view.

I'll call it a 10,000 mile view because I did not watch much of this tournament because

I'm on vacation.

And quite frankly, I didn't think that the

Americans took it that seriously with the group that they sent and now in fairness some of the

other countries didn't have some of their best players either although Germany had almost all

them and so I just I this is probably the last area that I actually have a fandom and I just knew that watching it was going to piss me off because of who was on the team coming in, basically.

That was kind of my thought.

That's how it turned out in the end.

So I'll call that my 10,000 mile view of things.

They lost differently from how I would have expected them to lose. And what I mean by that

is, despite the fact that they went heavy on Anthony Edwards' hero ball, the offense in the games that
