Welcome back to another edition of Through the Smoke, a Miami Hurricanes football and recruiting podcast here on the 24-7 Sports Network. The Alabama-Maiami game is getting closer and closer.

And with that in mind, we figured we'd reach out to our friend at Bama Online, Travis Ryer. We had Travis on, I think, early August,

late July, to kind of give a nice snapshot about what we needed to know about the Crimson Tide going into fall camp.

So now that it is game week, we'd figure we'd reach out to Travis once again to discuss kind of what they've learned about the team during the course of fall camp.

you know, fall camp essentially wrapped up. We're here in the final days leading up to the

game. What do you feel like is the biggest thing you've learned about

this Alabama team during this preseason? I don't know if we learned anything. I think we had

sort of reaffirmed for us, David, that the defensive side of the ball, at least early in the

season, is anticipated to be more of the identity of Alabama

football than it's been in the last two or three years, which sounds crazy because historically,

Alabama and defense has gone hand in hand. But as we know, with the quarterback play that

Alabama has had over the last three or four years. Just look at NFL
