Welcome back. It's the Big Blue Banter. New York Giants Football Podcast. I'm Dan Schneier. Joined as always my co-ist Nick Vallado. We've got some more mailbag questions hit before the draft night comes. And we wanted to get to all your questions. So hopefully at the end of this third mailbag, pre-draft mailbag, we've gotten everybody's questions. So let's get right into it, Nick. And it comes from Jason Metz, who says quarterback, wide receiver, offensive line, those are all fine and good. |
| 0:42.8 | But more importantly, what's on the day one draft night food menu for you guys? |
| 0:44.3 | Food menu. |
| 0:46.8 | I haven't even put any thought into that. |
| 0:48.0 | Absolutely zero thought. |
| 0:50.7 | Zero thought I put into the food menu. |
| 0:51.6 | Terrible. |
| 0:52.4 | Terrible. |
| 1:27.5 | You gotta have good food prepped for draft night, Nick. You understand getting into it that from 6 p.m. 7 p.m. locked on until 3 a.m. You're going to be in one place watching the draft on your, you know, on the social media checking that too. And we're recording. It's a long day. It's a long night. You've got to be prepared with food. You don't want to be caught off guard. So for me, I know exactly what I'm doing already. I am going to be heading to an Italian deli I love. And I'm picking up two sandwiches. Not one. It's always important to have two, a backup sandwich. The first one is going to be obvious. It's chicken cutlet. It's sharp provolone. It's prosciutto. |
| 1:28.5 | A lock is those three on a sandwich. |
| 1:30.1 | May throw some roasted red peppers or something like that on. It's an Italian sandwich. The second one is where things get interesting. I think I don't know exactly which deli I'm going to go to yet. There's a bunch of Italian delis around here and I like a lot of them. But one of them has a really, really interesting sandwich that I'm going to get into in a little bit. |
| 1:29.3 | You know, I don't want to get into that right now because I don't want to spoil it just yet. I'm not sure I'm going to go there and I don't want to put that name out there. But definitely that sandwich has won. And probably a second same, definitely a second sandwich, don't know what that's going to be yet, but Italian deli over everything. |
| 2:01.3 | I don't, you know, I like a good turkey provolone with lettuce, tomato, onion, oil, and vinegar. It's great. I like it, Nick, but I'm not going to choose that over Italian deli because Italian deli has the meats and cheeses that I like and the bread, to be quite frank. So that's what's on my menu. |
| 1:58.4 | And I'm going to buy some bags of chips, dude, Nick, because I'm a idiot who eats like crap and doesn't care about it. |
| 2:03.1 | No, you're not an idiot, man. |
| 2:04.4 | You do you. That's what's on my menu. And I'm going to buy some bags of chips, dude, Nick, because I'm an idiot who eats like crap and doesn't care about it. |
| 2:19.8 | No, you're not an idiot, man. |
| 2:20.9 | You do you. You know, you do you. You have fun. You eat whatever the hell you want. Just be cognizant of what you put in your body, maybe exercise temperance every, every now and I get. But, I mean, yeah, you, bro. I just haven't put any thought into it and I'll get something. |
| 2:16.3 | Dude, Dan, I got to ask you this before we go on it. |
| 2:18.0 | Have you tried pliables? |
| 2:19.9 | I'm pretty sure we've talked about this, but have you tried pliables? So I know you're a huge fan of them. Obviously, I know that. High and sugar, but they're, I do like them. But definitely some, some fruit and good stuff in there for you. I have not tried it yet. I will, I'll be honest with you, Nick. I don't know the time I can get a pliable. Like I need to like, it needs to be like a treat or something for me. Like I would never do that as a meal personally. I don't, and maybe I should. It can act as a breakfast. Okay. The problem is I don't eat breakfast. That's probably why I never head pliable like i i i intermit intermittent into lunch every day so maybe one day i do it as like a treat or |
