misinformation radicalizing maha mamas all over America. And part of the challenge is that this

phenomenon is almost too broad and wide-ranging to discuss it as though it's this one coherent

thing. So the constituents of Maha land ranged from semi-reasonable, if overblown concerns,

sort of backed by science, to outright Q&N conspiracy slop. So I really thought, Carrow, that when I went into researching

this episode a couple weeks ago, I thought I was going to go into this and find myself agreeing

with the basic claims of Maha, but then disagreeing with their chosen strategy. I don't know if

you watched all of those Hulu dokey dramas about the FDA's

failure to regulate Purdue Pharma in like the opioid crisis. No, I have not watched that.

I've watched a ton of that kind of stuff. I don't know. I've been hearing for years about how

terrible and unsafe our food supply is. It wasn't really a stretch. It wasn't hard for me to believe that there

really could be extreme problems with the way that our food is made, that the food itself is bad.

Obviously, I'm a big proponent of the idea that the health care system is supremely fucked

and that OZempic is just another big money grab that doesn't address root causes, blah, blah, blah.

But that is not where we're going today.
