world of medicine and health. So welcome everybody. I'm honored today to have with us, Patrick Carriille,

and he'll tell us his bona fides, his resume, his interest, but I know he's an incredibly intelligent man and

literate in a few different kind of systems, but I'll let him explain it because he's been an

incredibly useful part in making our nation better and making our health better through MAAHA.

And he's been involved with two different silos there.

But Patrick, tell us a little bit about been involved with two different silos there. But Patrick,

tell us a little about your role and how you got there, first of all. Sure, Randy, firstly,

thank you very much for having me. It's such a pleasure to speak with you and to your audience.

So, as mentioned, I am a former ARPA-H, that's the Advanced Projects Research Agency for Health. I was one of the founding members over there in the very early days.

But I come from a private sector experience.

I was 20 years in the private sector, non-farma, and then I get this

opportunity to be a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow, be at ARPA-H, which is really meant

as an agency to accelerate health innovation and to really improve the help of all Americans.

That's the vision, that's the premise.
