His doctoral dissertation examined the structure and correlations of metaphysical beliefs lives in

Raleigh, North Carolina. Welcome, Richard. Good to have you on the program. Oh, it's good to be

here. Thanks for inviting me on. How did I pronounce the name of that book? You know, we don't

speak Latin these days, so in many ways it's anybody's guess.

I've always said it, Pirdarabo, but I've heard other people say per durobo, but I don't know,

per durobo to me just seems to roll off the tongue a little bit better.

How'd you get interested in Alistair Crowley?

Oh, gosh.

I had this as a 14-year-old gotten interested in things like, you know, Nostradamus and things like that through my local library.

And I discovered a metaphysical bookstore in my neighborhood and went in there to pick up a book of the prophecies of Nostradonis

and in very short order and subsequent visits went from that to picking up a book on the

Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, which was a secret society in London that had members

like William Butler Yates amongst its members.
