the painful and unexpected, anxiety and peace, waiting and direction, loneliness and friendship,

faith, hope, and love. Twists and turns mark our individual stories, but we need not wander,

wander those paths by ourselves.

Maggie Rowe joins me today to talk about her new book. It's a beautiful hardcover book,

this life we share. 52 reflections on journeying well with God and others. We've got seven copies

Maggie Rose is a national speaker, dramatist, blogger, and writer. She performs original one-woman dramas and is passionate about connecting people to God and to each other. She lives near Asheville, North Carolina, with her husband, Mike. Together they have three adult children, five grandchildren. And one thing you may not know is she was a senior publicist for Tyndale many years, for many years. This is why we got to work together. So it's so fun to see her in this next phase of her ministry. Maggie, welcome to the program. Thank you, Susie. I am thrilled to be on this side of the microphone with you. Thank you for having me.

Well, you did a beautiful job in your book. I was saying to you before the show, the cover, is just gorgeous.

I mean, it just puts your heart at ease to look at the cover. You've got to be so happy with it.

Oh, I am, Susie. A quick story that my husband and I are in ministry. He's been a pastor for, well, we've been married 44 years and in ministry together that long. We were actually doing a pastorate in Stavanger, Norway, all of last fall. And I was working from Norway, of course, different time zones. And when the publishing team first sent me the cover, I just, I was stunned and I showed it to my Bible study, which were women from about 10 different countries, all working in Norway.

And when they all gave it a thumbs up, women from 20 to 80, from many different parts of

the world, I knew we had a winning cover.

And it's a cliche, but people do judge

the book by the cover. I mean, what's between it, you know, as a writer, that's most important.
