And welcome to Uncovered. It's Wednesday, July 7, not 7, July, is it, I don't know, why am I so bad at the date?

17th. 17, there you go. It's just a one between friends. Here's Ron, I'm Anthony. It's uncovered. We haven't had the chance, Ron, to talk since these momentous events have taken place in and around Donald

Trump's ear. And so I think it's important we probably start with that before we uncover

more of the MAGA propaganda that is certainly catching the corporate media in a way that

is very, very disappointing. And you and I try and do our best to expose that,

but the corporate media, I feel at the moment, are falling into some huge misinformation,

disinformation traps. We'll come to that. Let's start with the assassination attempt that took

place on Saturday. I'll just give you my kind of feeling initially, and that is that, you know, when everyone is

saying this is going to make Trump more popular because people will see him as a martyr,

and people will have a kind of sympathy vote towards him and stuff, I personally don't think

it's going to change the dial for his popularity between now and November. You know,

this week might feel like it, but I personally don't think that this type of thing changes

the fact that he is a threat to democracy, you know, an authoritarian and very, very dangerous.

So that's just my take.

How did you feel when you heard and saw this happen?

Well, I think there's two things to me where it could have really helped him, but won't. And those two factors are this, who the shooter was.

I mean, if this was some very left-wing guy, you know, who was very anti-Trump, vocal on social

media, all of the, you know, a well-established Democrat, let's say. I think that this could have

really benefited him politically if it could be shown that it was a politically motivated attack

from someone on the left.

But that does not appear to be the case.

It appears that this is a Republican.
