packed. Lots of kind of court hearings and Supreme Court stories. Maybe we should start with the

Supreme Court and their basic, I mean, how would you describe it? Overturning of a kind of large

portion of the Voting Rights Act?

I mean, this is not good for democracy, and it's certainly not good going into the midterms,

has it, Ron?

Yeah, I probably have a different take than almost anybody else about this, because this is an issue

that I've kind of thought about for decades as far as how this is interpreted and being implemented

ever since, you know, for going back to the to the 1990s. And so I have a little, I think that both

sort of both sides, both parties are overreacting. I think this is a very significant decision.

I think it's definitely going to impact a lot of people.

But I also think it's a situation that could break either way.

This could be a decision that could benefit Democrats or Republicans,

depending on how they, the next steps that they take from here.

So let me sort of explain what i mean so

before before the night before 1990 before the north carolina decision thornburg in 1986

interpreted the voting rights act basically prior to the voting rights act you had a situation

where particularly in southern states, there was gerrymandering being done to break up black voters into a bunch of little pieces, you know, and they were where it would take them and dilute their vote by sticking them and, you know, they would be 10% of black vote and a 90% minority white districts.
