corporate media. Ron, maybe we should start with Jerome Powell's announcement, because that

has sent the markets into a bit of a nosedive, and what that only happened an hour or so ago.

He basically got up and said that the tariffs are too crazy and that we weren't prepared for this.

Let's have a quick look.

The level of tariff increases announced so far is significantly larger than anticipated

and the same is likely to be true of the economic effects, which will include higher inflation

and slower growth.

Yeah, where's the good news?

I mean, we've discussed tariffs at length previously.

We're obviously going to have to stick with it over the coming weeks because, you know,

Trump is weaponizing tariffs now to try and get other countries to change their politics.

But how serious is this when Jerome Powell's like, okay, I'm out?

It's serious because especially with respect to China, with respect to Mexico, also with our food supply, you know.

But this affects everybody in America.

You know, I've been writing about this every day for months.

Maybe there are people who aren't that interested in the subject, but they better get interested. Because this is crossing over into so many different areas where industries are being affected, national defense is being affected,

medicine, food, cars. I mean, it just impacts so many different areas, inflation. And that's why,

you know, when Powell gave his remark, it's almost like the markets have their head in the sand, it seems like, you know, they overreact to everything.

You know, like a tariff gets announced by Trump, you know, it goes in the toilet.

Next day he announces he's revoking tariffs.

It goes up.
