Each episode will bring you stories for kids that spark the imagination,

take you to other worlds and bring joy.

This is Mave the Invisible. Down the

public library,

building itself is painted a butter yellow

and has a charming terracotta tiled roof.

On the days that it's sunny, you can find locals who can both read and sunbathe at the same time.

Some of them gather in the garden,

while others perch on the lip of a big fountain

in the courtyard.

Once you enter the library and head to the left, you'll pass the books on

cassette tapes that are kept in crinkled Manila envelopes. Then you'll move

beyond a desk that still has a landline phone with a long curling cord.

And then you'll wiggle through some stacks of books on poetry, art, and candle making, until you find a door to a well-hidden reading room.

Once inside, you'll find a nine-year-old girl with long dark hair, making very little noise while reading an oversized library book.

The nine-year-old girl happens to be Maeve Martinez.

On this particular evening,

Maeve pours over a dusty compendium of birds.

She kept to herself oftentimes and found comfort in solitary pursuits, like books on

handsome, highly intelligent members of the Avian community because frankly no one ever really noticed her.

Maeve couldn't remember if she'd always been a silent character in the film of her life
