0:58.0	She's an author, a blogger, and today she's here to share her story of being recently diagnosed autistic.

1:06.2	Yeah, thanks so much for having me.
1:08.7	Oh, it's my pleasure.
1:09.9	I understand you was recently diagnosed autistic.
1:12.9	What age was that?
1:14.2	So I was diagnosed probably about 23.
1:17.0	Okay, so age 23, you get diagnosed autistic.
1:20.6	What were some of the events that led you to go to get a diagnosis?
1:27.0	Yeah, so I was always planning on going to walk school.
1:30.7	That was always my goal. And so in school I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was about 10 or about 12.
1:38.4	So it was something that I always knew I had and when I was diagnosed the professor that diagnosed me told me not to disclose it not to ask for the extra time that I was entitled to on exams.
1:49.0	And so I always had the feeling of like knowing that I was smart and I like my friends were all the top 10 people in the class and yet I was performing so much lower than them despite knowing that I was just the smartest them.
