On June 2nd, the Metropolitan Police announced a new German suspect in the case of the disappearance of Madeline McCann.

hello roberta how are you well thanks so what was your first reaction when you heard this news

well the first reaction i had was, here we go again.

I never get too excited because I know we've been here before.

There's, you know, over 20 suspects over the years.

And what turns out to be is that all of these suspects have been looked into before,

and this is no different.

Christian Bruckner was thoroughly investigated by the PJ.

It's very interesting that you, you know, we watch, we look at the news and then every network is doing their own thing,

and some of them say, oh, you know, this guy was missed.

He was not missed.

He was fully investigated.

In fact, Gonzalo Omeral spoke about him last year saying that there was a guy that there was in prison that was in prison in Germany and that

he was being looked at.

Not that he was, and basically that he'd already been looked at and cleared.

His vehicles had been already scrutinized and no DNA or any forensics were ever found in his vehicle.

So this was looked at by the Portuguese police and then looked at in Germany.

So forensically, this car was looked at.

I assumed that like in any modern country, you know, dogs will be used and for cadaver odor.

There was no alerts to this car.
