Happy Tuesday, Everyone! I'm so happy to be talking with today's guest— the fabulous Madelaine Petsch! Madelaine played Cheryl Blossom on Riverdale and she is currently starring as Maya in The Strangers: Ch 2, reprising her role from The Strangers: Ch 1. She will also be seen as Charlie in Maintenance Required, which will be available globally on Prime Video October 8th! It was such a pleasure to get to know Madelaine a little bit better! We actually have a lot in common— we talk about growing up in the Pacific Northwest and getting involved with acting at a young age. We also discuss what it was like to be media-trained as a CW actor and how she is transitioning into producing more original work. I watched The Strangers: Ch 2 on the airplane and I'm NOT sure I recommend that experience (it was terrifying and I'm not a big horror person, especially in a confined space!). I literally heard you when they were like 45 minutes. You're like 45 minutes. What the heck can I talk about for 45 minutes? I think I just said 45 minutes, but that's what was going on in my head for
1:45.0	sure. It's always the weird thing, because you get asked the exact same questions over and over and over again. And then when somebody comes in with 45 minutes, you're like, do I just drag out the exact same answer? Like, you're like, you almost disassociate during press days. So you're like, I can just kind of keep going. I'm on autopilot. And then I'm like, oh, my God, I have to be turned on for this one.
2:03.2	Like, maybe I should have hit my cellis before I came into you do that weird thing where you know what everyone's going to ask you and so you don't even need them to ask you questions you just keep talking no you know honestly no I think I did that really early in my career and then I made the mistake of answering the wrong question like one too many times.
2:19.6	And I was like, hey, maybe have your ears turned on when you're doing press?
2:22.7	It's definitely challenging.
