Macy's has reported its highest comparable sales growth in 13 quarters and raised its outlook for the year as its turnaround plan begins to deliver results.

The department store company last year announced a plan that included closing weaker locations.

Macy's said it expects shoppers to be choosy this holiday season, but has largely seen customers keep on spending.

Payroll processor ADP says private hiring sank in November. American businesses lost 32,000 jobs.

A swing from the 47,000 private sector jobs ADP estimated were added in October.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics is still in catch-up mode three weeks after the government shutdown ended.

It won't release its look at the November jobs picture until December 16th, two and a half weeks behind schedule.

And federal agents are fanning out across New Orleans,

the latest focus of the Trump administration's immigration enforcement. The Department of Homeland

Security says agents will target immigrants who are in the U.S. without authorization and who have
