Just Phil Mackey flying solo with a longtime friend, former producer of Mackie and Judd,

Manny Hill, you can still find him.

He works mostly behind the scenes with Score North on Sundays.

And just before we get into a discussion here with Mani, I just want to remind the audience that we have gotten behind here at Score North, a cause that Minneapolis North High School has set up.

So, you know, many or all of you remember what happened last month, the tragic death of,

and I would throw the word senseless in as well, 15-year-old Deshawn Hill Jr., who was

tragically shot and killed.

And by the way, the way that his family and friends have described him, and I've just

pulled some of the quotes and materials that family and friends have put out, describing him

as an amazing son, brother, friend, who touched the lives of everyone he met with his infectious

smile and humble personality.

You know, this is not just another story of a kid that was swept up in street life.

This was much different than that.

And so what Minneapolis North High School has done is they set up a fund that aims to raise scholarship money for what would have been Deshaun's graduating class,

2004.

And the goal is to establish an initiative here that will, at the very least, benefit

some of the students, the school and ultimately the Northside community for years to come.
