I'm Stephanie and today we're diving more into the McKenzie Shirola case because ever since watching the crash on Netflix, I have since watched other documentaries. I'll tell you which

ones in a little bit. But there's so much more to this story. And actually, I feel that Netflix

almost painted McKenzie in a more positive light, if you can believe that, because the other

documentaries I watched really painted a fuller picture of who she really was. I have zero doubt in my mind

that she isn't innocent. However, there are people online who are saying that she's innocent.

They don't think she's guilty. They think this was all just a tragic accident. And this episode

specifically is going to be focused on the text messages that have since come up in court records.

These text messages have been obtained by People magazine, TMZ, other media outlets.

And these messages prove a lot.

They prove that McKenzie and Dominic were actually on the brink of a breakup shortly before

the crash.

They had an extremely, extremely toxic and volatile relationship, even more so than I thought

originally. We learned that Davion actually blocked McKenzie just days before the crash. And we

learn more about McKenzie's history with depression because, as you guys remember, in the

documentary, they say she wasn't suicidal

because she wouldn't even eat a McChicken from McDonald's, so therefore you can't possibly

be suicidal.

But these text messages, I mean, she flat out says in some of these text messages that she

wants to kill herself.

We also learned that this is not the first time that McKenzie has been reckless

behind the wheel. This is a pattern for her, but also Dominic was also reckless behind the wheel.
