Apple's Fari supply chain is getting another examination by the press and some of what they've found

seems troubling.

The BBC has run an undercover investigation on one of Apple's biggest contract manufacturers.

While Apple has done a lot to get the supply chain to straighten up and fly right,

most of the world's attention has been on FoxCon. Perhaps in an effort to diversify or perhaps to ease

some of FoxCon's load, Apple has, over the past few years, shifted some of its manufacturing

work to Pegatron. And that's where the BBC has focused its

attention.

Sending undercover reporters through the hiring process and actually to work on assembling

iPhone sixes, the journalist found what appeared to be a number of violations.

ID cards which were required to be carried at all times in China were reportedly taken from employees when they went to work for Pegatron.

That basically means they could not leave.

Mandatory tests for employment were apparently cheated with the people administering the tests

giving the answers to the prospective employees.

People were reportedly found to be sleeping at their workstations, not because they were lazy,
