Apple shares took a hit on Monday. If you're wondering why, you're not alone.

Oh, there are plenty among the financial punditry who'll tell you why they think it happened, though they don't seem

to get behind one idea.

For sure, it had little to do with analysts who follow Apple on the regular.

In fact, one of those punched up his 12-month price target to start the week.

Barron said Barclay's capital analyst Ben Wright's issuing a note Monday morning wherein he upped his

apple target from $120 to $140.

He also stuck with his overweight rating on the Kubertino company's shares.

That was driven primarily by his love for the gross margin in the iPhone six line though other bits of

Apple business some known some only dreamt of at this point do set his heart

going pitter pat drawing from his, these include a positive mix shift within the iPad segment

from the mini toward larger screened higher margin versions, including a new iPad Pro in 2015.

The introduction and the session of the Apple Watch category

with higher than company average hardware and accessories margins,

and rapid scaling of fast-growing services revenue streams like Apple Pay and other

unannounced initiatives that carry almost 100% incremental margins.

Each of these trends could take years to play out, and our findings for each have surprised us.
