The bad news, Apple shares did fall Tuesday,

apparently as a result of President Trump's comments

indicating that the US could place a 10% tariff

on iPhones and laptops made in China. That's according to a report from CNBC.

The good news, if you're rooting for Apple over Microsoft in the

Fund with Numbers Market Cap edition, Apple's still on top. Apple closed

Tuesday with a market cap of 826.8 billion dollars to Mr.

Softy's 822.4 billion and don't worry we're not going to do this every day.

While some have worried that the tariffs might put iPhones and other Apple gear out of reach for more consumers,

at least a couple of analysts think that what we're seeing is a bit of posturing by the American president.

Bloomberg has Wed Bush analyst Daniel Ives saying in a note to clients,

while we ultimately believe this is all part of a broader negotiation with China

as talks heat up over the next week now Cook and Apple find themselves squarely

at the center of the tariff talks, which were previously background noise, as investors

tried to gauge what a potential 10% tariff on iPhones and other products would do to demand and
