There are a number of iPhone owners who would never think of buying their

iPhone from any place except an Apple store.

But iPhones aren't the only phones out there, which means the

Apple store is not the only place for phones. All things D had the research firm

Consumer Intelligence Research Partners sitting with a new survey yesterday studying where people go when they go to buy cell phones

According to their survey there isn't one place actually though there is one type of place.

Carrier stores are still the number one destination type for people in the States to get their

cell phones, though Best Buy and Apple Stores are both major players.

Apple's presence on the list is actually fairly stunning since Apple Stores only sell the iPhone.

And yet C-I-R IRP says Apple stores account for roughly 11% of

retail phone sales in the US. Best Buy beats Apple with a 13% share of sales, but honestly, it should.

Not only does it have more locations, it also has more variety.
