Let's back track to what Mask Attack is.

Earlier this week, the next web had the security firm Fire Eye

outlining the vulnerability.

According to the report, the attack utilizes iOS's enterprise provision profiles.

The profiles allow IT departments to develop and deploy apps without using Apple's App Store. Developers also use the provision profiles to deploy betas of

apps to users. No problem when it's legitimate use. The troubling bit was the

possibility that people might click on a link that

appeared to be from a friend or click on a link on a website that could replace a

third party app on their eye thing with one that looked just like it.

Except that Doppelganger app might be gathering private information and sending it who knows where.

Troubling, but not new.

Seriously, it must be the sexy name that's garnering attention.
