The world was kind of wowed by the low cost of Apple TV plus when it was announced.

While most had expected the service to run close to 10 bucks a month, it came out at half that, running $4.99 a month after whatever free trial.

Bargain, basement, pricing. Except people can apparently get it for even less than that.

According to Mac rumors, Apple has quietly introduced an annual subscription

option for Apple TV Plus, priced at $49.99 in the US, $59.99 in Canada, $49.99 in the UK, and $49 euro 99 in many other European countries. Basically you buy 10

months you get two months free. But it doesn't look like you have to decide right now. The piece says people can switch

the annual plan on an iOS device. Just go to the managed subscription section

under Apple ID and choose between the default $4.99 or

4999 for one year. You can also cancel the service right there though I seriously doubt you'll want to do that right

now while double checking whether the 4999 option was available to anyone I

noticed something I had seen mentioned online though apparently immediately forgot.

Apple TV Plus cancellation is effective immediately.

Often you can start a free trial of a service, cancel it immediately,

then use the unused portion of the free trial until the trial ends.

I'm not sure I'm explaining that clearly. Let's say a service has a one week free trial.

I want to try it, but I'm horrible about remembering to cancel things before I'm charged.
