The arrival of iOSOS 8.1, the latest from the Sapphire Synchole, and analysts react

Yesterday's presentation here was eaten entirely by Apple's earnings report.

But Monday was a day chock full of news.

If you have a modern iOS device, you likely know that Apple released

iOS 8.1 on Monday. As it had said last week, it would do. Why are Grand a piece highlighting

the four biggest additions to the mobile OS.

Working from the least amount of oomph to the most starts one at the iCloud Photo Library

Beta.

Basically, iCloud Photo Library will let people store their photos on Apple servers, similar

to Photo Stream. A major difference though, Photo Stream only store to users 1,000 to most recent photos.

With iCloud Photo Library, users can store as many photos as they want for as long as they want,

as long as they're paying for iCloud storage.

That'll run renters anywhere from 99 cents a month for 20 gigabytes of storage all the way up to

1999 a month for 1 terabyte.

Or people can just use the camera roll on their iOS devices.

So that'll fill up the phone, iPad or iPod touch eventually.
