By the time these words reach you, you may already know for certain what Apple has or

had to offer at Tuesday's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts event in San Francisco.

As these words are written though, the event is still a few hours away and it seems silly not to touch on

reported expectations. The Wall Street Journal seems to agree with most of the iPad expectations.

Electronista had the paper posting a report over the weekend saying people would be

safe expecting a Slimdown full-sized iPad iPad as well as a retina display iPad mini at today's

event. Not exactly groundbreaking. The journal piece basically echoes report that

have been percolating for the past several weeks.

While just about everyone expects the updated iPad mini to ship with a retin display, there are

still concerns that there won't be a lot of them to go around for a while.

Apple and Cai had Cowan and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri issuing a note Monday.

According to his note, he does not expect production of the retina display, as such he thinks supplies of the device could be tight throughout the holiday

shopping season.

That's got him expecting iPad sales for the December quarter of 23 million units, which
