The rumors of the Thursday, the 16th of October event on Apple's Cupertino campus,

turned out to have been true.

Cult of Max says Apple on Wednesday send out invitations to an event on the company's

Cupertino campus to be held Thursday the 16th of October and that's almost all anyone knows for sure.

The graphic on the emailed invitation is a close-up of a line drawing of the Apple logo,

multi-colored rather than monochromatic.

And the words, the words,

those vexing words,

it's been way too long.

I want to say that's what she said, but I won't. The words would seem to mean

nothing. It was just over a month ago that Apple called the press to Cupertino.

Not the company's campus, but a location of Stones throw away to see new iPhones get a

gander at Apple watch and hear all about Apple Pay. Rumor and speculation say the company will update both the iPad and the Mac next week,

but hasn't been too terribly long since those machines were refreshed.

Maybe they're joking about the fact that it hasn't been that long since they had everybody out,
