When I started Maco-Westkin nearly 14 years ago, I could knock out a show in about two and a half hours.

Writing, recording, all of it. It's partly because Apple was a very different company.

There was no iPhone.

There was no App Store.

The idea of an Apple car was applied to Fancy and an Apple watch, we were still wearing

regular watches because they hadn't been replaced by iPhones

yet. Why do I bring all this up? I went away for one week, a few weeks after the September event and at least a couple of weeks before the October event

assuming there's going to be one I went away for one week and came back to more news than I know how to handle. Like seriously, I don't

know how to handle it. Mostly by the way I'm writing this part for me trying to keep from

hyperventilating. We will not get through all the news that we missed today.

I'm not sorry I took time off. The Grand Canyon was awesome. If you haven't been, go. If you just stay on the South

Rim, it's still amazing and totally worth it. You think you know because you've seen pictures but you really don't know till you're standing there.

I'm hoping to go back next year and stay longer, maybe hike to the canyon floor and camp.

Then again, there are other places I've spent

last time but you know what? We're getting off topic. I'm not sorry that I took time

off and I am really not sorry to be back. This stuff, what we do every morning here, you and me, this stuff is fun. I mean not all of it. There's stuff about backdoors into encryption that stinks

hashtag interesting not fun but it is all interesting and I love digging through it and sharing it with you.

That said, we're not going to be able to share everything we missed today.

But we'll work our way through and it'll be fun.
