0:58.1	But they're worth noting for at least one reason.
1:00.8	Engadgett has new numbers from Comscore this week that indicate a surprising uptick for iPhones in August.
1:07.0	According to the piece, the iPhone controlled a 34.3% share of the smartphone market in the States in August, up from July is 33.4%.
1:17.0	In fact, the iPhone's share seems to have been on the upswing since April,
1:21.0	when Comscore the phone with a 31.4% share.
1:25.0	Strange, right?
1:27.0	When the story at the end of the June quarter was that the iPhone sales were disappointing
1:31.0	because people were already waiting for the next iPhone.
1:35.0	Apparently not.
1:37.0	Androide did of course still rule the roost in terms of smartphone share in August,
1:41.0	but this is where it gets weird.
1:43.0	Android share is split between a boatload of manufacturers,
1:46.0	while the iPhone's 34% benefits one manufacturer.
