Apple has released a patch for the Bash Shell Shock vulnerability. As of this writing, it's not showing up in the update utility

in the Mac App Store. However, I'm Moore says the Cupertino company has made OS 10

bash update 1.0 available to download through its site.

The piece says there are separate downloads for Lion, Mountain Lion, and Mavericks.

While Apple has said that most Mac users are safe from the vulnerability,

users wanting to be double-plus safe should make their respective ways on their respective

Macs to Apple's security site, load up on information, and download the appropriate patch.

It's not been a great few days for Apple's Eiclea.

Apple Insider had a piece early evening on the East Coast, late afternoon on the West Coast
