The wait for more iPhone 6 begins. One analyst can't see the upside to last

order an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus last Thursday night Friday morning had a bit of normalcy to it.

Recode says there were the usual reports of challenges,

ranging from sites not loading to error messages,

with clear indications that plenty of phones were being ordered. But it was

more than plenty. Another thing that has a normal sort of ring to it, the number of

iPhones ordered set records.

Apple issued a super short statement to recode in the 9 a.m. Pacific hour on Friday, saying

response to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus has been incredible with a record

number of pre-orders overnight. Even before the Apple statement

indications were either that sales were going gangbusters or that Apple made somewhere in the

neighborhood of 90 of the phones.

AT&T spokesperson Mark Seagull told Re-code that demand for the pair of new phones was higher this year than in either of the past two years

And they've got wait times to prove it

By Friday morning the wait for a 64 gigabyte iPhone six plus was 35 to 42 a October wait time while Apple struck a balance between the two showing a wait time
