I'm going to say the date in a minute and it's going to sound weird because for the past 11 years today's date can't sound normal

And I'm going to talk about technology and I'm going to make stupid jokes and 11 years later I think that has to be okay.

Things seemed really dark and scary 11 years ago today, mostly because they were.

And a lot of stuff has only sucked more ever since, but so much

amazing stuff has happened in the last 11 years as well. There's a better

than good chance that you're listening to this show on a device that didn't even

exist 11 years ago today. In fact if you're listening to this on anything but a

computer that's pretty much guaranteed. Crappy and evil and terrible and ugly as that day was. So much of

who we are and what we do has come so far since then. Maybe we should use that on the parts that have regressed.

I miss a lot of what's missing as a result of that day. But we didn't stop. We remember. But we don't stop. This is Mac OSKIN.
