About a week after its publication, Apple has responded to the Project Zero iPhone

hacking post. That's the one where Google's Project Zero said it found a network

of iPhone hacking sites.

Quoting an early article on that

from Vice in what may be one of the largest attacks against iPhone users ever researchers at Google say they uncovered a series of hacked websites

that were delivering attacks designed to hack iPhones.

The websites delivered their malware

indiscriminately were visited thousands of times a week and were operational

for years Google said. While Project Zero's write-up said that the affected sites were visited thousands of times per week

it didn't say where the sites were based nor did it say whether any group

was being targeted specifically. I mentioned that when we talked about the story a week ago today. Now Apple has mentioned it as well.

In a post last Friday, Apple took issue with a few of Project Zero's assertions.
