One more day of I-watch guessing, one more day of payment guessing, and a rough holiday season ahead for anyone who's not Apple.

It's the day before Tuesday, September 9, 2014. I'm Kan Ray and this is news from

Before we begin, here is how stories will work for at least the next few days.

Today, Monday, the 8th of September will be the last day devoted to what we might hear from Apple at the 99 2014 event.

While the 9th of September news will be written before the event actually takes place, stories

about that

about six hours, and anyone waiting until the day before the event

to come out with their guesses or predictions,

well maybe they should have jumped in a bit earlier.

Tuesday, we will cover a raft of news not tied to the 9.9, 2014 event, nor rumors leading up to it.

A number of stories have been crowded out over the last few days in the

din of rumor, speculation, and unconfirmed reports. Wednesday will cover the

99 2014 event announcements.

I for one am very excited about the self-flying car I just know Apple's going to introduce.

It seems likely that most of the rest of the week will cover responses to the 9-9 event or there may be room for a few

stories not tied to that as well assuming there are stories not tied to that.

And so one more day of things that might be.

One can expect even more coverage of Apple's Tuesday media event than in years past,

or it might be better to say coverage from a wider field of sources, that's because
