move on. But a little over a week to go before Apple's 9th of September event, the world seems to have gotten a decent leak of components ahead of the next round of iPhones.

9-to-5 Mac says picks on its site show room for a bigger front-facing

FaceTime camera complete with bigger sensors.

According to the piece, the presence of larger sensors

likely indicates a higher pixel count up from the current 1.2 megap pixels as well as new functionality.

Though what the new functionality from the Face Time camera might be is not

indicated by the piece. Flipping the phone over, 9 to 5 says the rear camera's center will be 12

megapixel and have the capability to shoot video in full 4K high definition resolution up from 8 megapixel stills and 1080 p videos in current iPhones.

It's worth noting the site makes that assertion while also acknowledging that

there's nothing in the pictures it has to indicate that. Maybe they heard it from secret sources, maybe

they sourced something from the supply chain, whatever the case, they're saying that part, without

showing any parts. There is one part that 9 to 5 can't seem to identify

though they are willing to guess its special purpose.

According to the report, our new photos show a magnified look at what is likely to be a screen

component to power the new force touch integration or Tappedic engine in the new iPhones.

So I got a picture of something that might power the Taptic engine, but no picture of the Taptic

engine itself.
