The Macbook Air seems to be going gangbusters in Hong Kong and Tychondroga securities analyst

Brian White says that bodes well for mainland China. Fortune has White saying that the month old machine met with long lines and even some sellouts when it launched in Hong Kong last week.

And he thinks it will do well in China when it launches there, possibly as early as this week, according to the report.

Apple Fever is gaining momentum in the region and there is no laptop product on the market with the characteristics of the new Macbook air.

silence is causing a bit of noise. Saying no comment about unannounced Apple

products is nothing new for potential partners, but explicitly telling employees to say no

comment as well, that's peak the interest of Apple Insider.
