John Picowski, formerly of All Things D, when there was in All Things D and currently of

Recode, which is what All Things D turned into, minus the association with Wall Street Journal.

Yes, that John Pekowski. He wrote a piece on Wednesday that was both obnoxious and interesting.

It was a long paragraph written in the style that was half

self-congratulatory and half inside baseball, with just a smidgen of self-congratulations

for being so inside baseball.

It all boils down to this.

Pekowski says Apple plans to introduce both the new iPhones that it plans to introduce,

as well as the I-watch or whatever it ends up calling its

wearable, at the same 9th of September event, to which it has yet to invite anyone.

Quoting Pekowski, the new device will predictably make good use of Apple's Health

Kit, Health and Fitness Platform.

It will also predictably make good use of Home Kit, the company's new framework for controlling connected devices,

though it's not clear how broadly or in what way.
