iPhones when it holds its next iPhone event. On Wednesday that speculation

got a bit of bolstering.

Electronista says the Secretary General of Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission

has given the green light for the sale of two iPhone sixes in his country.

And the world knows because he said so.

The piece says the official's Twitter account had him announcing distribution approval for two iPhone six models.

Other reports say Apple filed an import application on Tuesday the 5th of August and received

approval on the request on Friday the 8th of August.

Quoting Electronista, the two models are listed as A1586 and A1524,

while government regulations state that such approvals must be declared publicly,

the actual specifications of the phones are still being protected.

And there's the rub. The assumption is that the two phones approved for sale are the larger 4.7 inch model expected by many, and the even larger 5.5 inch model also expected by many. That seems to land somewhere

between possible and probable though it is worth noting Apple release two

iPhone fives last year too, the premium iPhone 5s, and the plastic phone that's fun to tote around

the unapologetic iPhone 5c.

How does the world know it's not getting an iPhone 6 and something like an iPhone 6 see?
