Let me start by saying I like the unofficial Apple Weblog. I actually wrote for them for a short time, but they seem to have fallen into the same pit that's claimed financial analysts disappointed by last quarter's iPhone sales.

According to a TUAW piece, market researcher IDC hit with the second

quarter smartphone numbers yesterday, and while they were awesome for Apple, they were

apparently not exceptionally awesome.
