While Apple and Samsung appear to be the only two companies making real money

and smartphone these days, UBS is only backing Apple.

Earlier this week, Can Accordinuity analyst T Michael Walkley issued one of his mind-bending

math notes wherein he said that Apple and Samsung currently take in

108% of the profits being made in smartphones. That's all of the money they make

plus all of the money their smartphone competitors lose for a total of more than all of the

money.

Now Barron says a team of analysts from UBS saying the real smartphone story is Apple. There are also tales of companies that make pieces and

parts for smartphones, though not companies that make smartphones themselves, except

for Apple. According to the report, UBS analysts on Wednesday cut their revenue growth estimates for 2014-to-2016 for mobile devices, including smartphones,
