Radio Shack is trying to move some iPhones.

Apple Insider says the Shack has knocked 30 bucks off the cost of the iPhone 4,

bringing the 16 gigabyte model down to $169 and the 32-Gig version down to 26999.

Those prices are sale prices slated to run through Saturday August 6th. The day after the apes will rise.

So you might want to get it early. While that sales not bad, there weren't as

many weekend sales as had been rumored. At least I can't find them

if there were. In addition to the iPhone 4 drop Apple Insider had expected the cost of the

iPhone 3GS to drop to $20 at the shack, while they'd also heard rumors of a $30 price drop for the

iPhone at Target. If Target did that, they did it secretly. I can't find word of a price drop on their site, nor in their

Sunday circular, nor can I find the $20 iPhone 3GS through Radio Shack that had been rumored.

I only bring up the sales we didn't see because seeing them might have been a clearer

indication that a new iPhone is coming soon, especially dropping the 3GS price so low.

But maybe we don't need any more indications.

It's really coming to be accepted as fact that we will get a new iPhone in September.
