The Computer and Communications Industry Association, or C.C.IA, has cited with Apple in its fight against Qualcomm.

In its own description of who it is and what it does, the CCIA says it's an international

nonprofit dedicated to innovation and enhancing societies. The DCIA promotes open markets, open systems, open networks, and full fair and open competition

in the computer, telecommunications, and internet industries.

All that talk of openness may be one reason C.C.I.A. doesn't like Qualcomm's moves as outlined by Apple.

Another reason may have to do with a particular member,

while C.C.I. A membership site lists neither Apple nor

Qualcomm, a little chipmaker called Intel does show up on the list. Last week, Intel argued to the U.S. International Trade Commission that

Qualcomm was not fighting Apple in a recent petition to the U.S. I.C. as much as it was trying

to keep Intel from gaining a foothold in the mobile chip business.

Now, the CIA is citing with Intel and or Apple against Qualcomm.

The Mac Observer says the organization has filed its own comments with the
