How did Max Sales do in the second quarter of the year?

It seriously depends on who you ask.

Barons says both Gardner and I. D.C. reported second quarter computer numbers this week

and both saw sales fall worldwide by 0.1% year over year for the entire PC industry.

That's agreement. Both saw HP shipments drop worldwide in the 12%

range. Both saw Dell shipments drop in the 11.5% range and in the States both saw Apple's max shipments rise 4.3 percent.

Actually they were split on max with Gartner guessing Apple shipped 1.9 million max for growth of 4.3% year over year, while I.C. guessed Apple

ship 1.8 million max for a decline of 1.1% year over year.

Both have Apple and third place in the States behind second place Dell

and first place HP.

The discrepancy is amusing.

The bigger issue is the fall in PC sales and what caused it.
