Apple is working on a feature that will let you unlock your iPhone using your face instead of a fingerprint began a piece from Bloomberg. That piece was penned

by Mark Germin who tends to be in the know when it comes to Apple rumors.

Quoting the report, for its redesigned iPhone said to go on rumors. in authenticate payments and launch secure apps by scanning their face

according to people familiar with the product. This is powered by a new 3D

The piece says it's fast and accurate. In test... of the

And won't it be awesome to have a phone that a police officer or a robber can unlock by pointing my own phone at my face?

I know there's probably something that I'm missing there.

Except Bloomberg says the unlock your phone with your face feature even works when the

phone is laying on a table. Sure it verifies that you're nearby, that

doesn't necessarily mean it's secure, does it?
